The institute was founded in 1982, formerly
named Wuxi Mechanical Industry Design & Research Institute. In June 2002 it changed
its name as Wuxi Industrial Construction Design &Research Institute. Through the
years, the institute has made continuous development with the concern and support from the
trade authority and business partners and friends. Now it has become a well-known
construction unit possessing the Class B Design Certificate of Construction Engineering
issued by the Ministry of Construction, Class A Design Certificate of Technology of
Mechanical Basic Components, Class B Design Certificate of Machine-building Industry and
Class B Qualification Certificate of Construction Engineering Supervision, Class B
Qualification Certificate of Construction Consultation approved by National Planning
Commission. The institute is now a member of the China Machine-building Industry
Reconnaissance & Design Association, Jiangsu Provincial Association of Reconnaissance
& Design, Wuxi Reconnaissance & Design Association and Jiangsu Provincial
Construction Engineering Consultation Association.
The institute is specialized in the design, consultation and
engineering supervising for industrial construction. It mainly engages in the project
planning and design, project prefeasibility study report compiling, feasibility study
report compiling, preliminary design., construction working drawing design, engineering
consultation, engineering supervising and project management for the construction projects
of Mechanical Industry, Metallurgy Industry, Electronics Industry, Instrument Industry,
Textile Industry etc as well as civil construction projects.
The institute has completed over 3500 projects of the design and
consultation for different industrial and civil construction projects since it was founded
in 1982, with the total projects investment over RMB￥6,000,000,000 and the area of
construction about 3,800,000 ㎡, including the design of many construction projects for
joint venture and sole foreign invested enterprises with investment from USA, Germany,
Japan, Belgium, Canada, Sweden, Italia, Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong and Taiwan area etc.
In recent years we finish more than ten projects with construction investment over RMB ￥30,000,000
per year. Among the industrial projects designed by our institute, there are workshops
with span of 30m, double bridge crane with 50t lifting capacity; single story steel
structure workshop with span of 45m. tier structure workshop with 15m span, floor load
2.8t/㎡, workshop with large area of air conditioning and depuration. The civil
architectural projects include office buildings, hotels, schools, hospitals, residential
quarters religion buildings such as Catholicism Church, depositaries of Buddhist texts, as
well as squares, streets, gardens etc.
There are over 80 employee in the institute, among them 29 senior
engineers, 28 engineers, 3 registered architects with National Class A Certificate, 2
registered architects with Class B Certificate, 10 registered structure engineers with
National Class A Certificate, 2 registered structure engineers with Class B Certificate, 1
registered consultation engineer. It is equipped with 65 up-to-date computers and the
drawings are 100% CAD made. The institute has passed the TQC exam, and implements the
ISO-9000 Serial Quality Identification System actively. A number of projects designed,
consulted and supervised by our institute have obtained prizes or awards of outstanding
design from the Ministry of Construction, Jiangsu Province and Wuxi City.
In the past twenty years, the Projects designed by the institute have
been spreaded citywide, all over the whole jiangsu Province. The institute also has
designed projects in cities and provinces such as Shanghai, Shandong, Anhui, Zhejiang,
Jiangxi, Fujian, Sichuan etc.
The institute will keep up the pace of reform, improve the level of
technology and equipment continuously, adhere to offering design, consultation and
supervision for industrial and civil construction projects with high quality, fine service
and favorable price.
